2008…Summer…birds chirping in the background…kids playing ecstatically outside…sun shining crazily making you sweat in this humid weather…wipe…wipe..Looks at husband happily…one year of marriage bliss…hmmm…I hear something…neck craning towards the television….
Yup! That was the time I discovered Charice though I can’t remember the date and how. (She must have been mentioned in a television show or news) From then on I became as they say CHADDICTED. (verb: addict, obsessed, totally loves Charice. Charice’s fans (boy, girl, it, hap-hap or alien) are Chaddicted.
I suddenly had an urge to research about her using the very reliable and modern library aka YouTube. My gawdness! Who is this 15 year old girl with matching pink outfit from head to toe! It is so cute! I want those clothes too!!!
Seriously, It was the video of Charice in Star King (talent show in Korea) that got me hooked. It was her first appearance there. She sang “And I’m telling you I’m not going” and I did not go indeed all throughout that particular summer until today.
It was my first time to be captivated. It was the voice that got me mesmerized. I know here in the Philippines there are singers and even common people who are just like her (Can hit the high notes like its nothing because admit it or not PI really do have insanely talented peeps especially in singing) but the difference is that….well…uhmmm…errr…The truth is…it’s hard to explain. It’s best if you just listen to her in YT or better yet live.
I’m not going to bash other singers because I respect all artists and their vocal talent as well. Each has their own unique way and technique in singing. Charice well…her voice is a magnet. It’s kind of like a comet that comes only once in a hundred years. Rare! Once you hear her you can’t stop!
To me Charice is like entering a Fantasy World where in you don’t want to leave ever because of the breathtaking things you see. Charice’s voice is wonderful to hear. It’s powerful yet soothing. It has emotions that captures you and literally gives you GOOSEBUMPS!!! As in BIG GOOSEBUMPS and makes you SHIVER DOWN TO YOUR SPINE! (No sweetie don’t act like you’re having a seizure. LOL!)
Her voice is a like a friend or a family member telling you a heartwarming story. Her voice is like a place where in you can feel all kinds of emotions. Her voice makes you inspired. Her voice feels like you are in a trance – a spectacular one. Her voice is…well I can’t think of anymore adjectives actually because I’m lost for words to describe her unbelievable talent.
Charice is Charice. She is a beautiful girl with a beautiful heart and more than a beautiful voice.
Charice through ups and down..Chasters (THE TRUE ONES) will always be there for you. As they say TO THE TOP BABY!
