GLIDING FINGERS AND TWIRLING PENS

Standard

This bear came from a kids book...forgot the title.

             DRAWING TOOLS:

                – No. 2 Mongol Pencil

               – Eraser

The crispiness of the paper draws these hands to embrace the pens and make it glide effortlessly to inscribed tales or illustrate images seen by an eyes full of wonder.

Return back to your childhood once in a while to detoxify yourself on adult woes and stress.  Do you remember the time you first drew or wrote a poem or story? Hearing the words “Very Good!” “Ahh so cute!”or “And I’m proud of your work!” makes your then innocent heart skip a beat. Your eyes widening as if you made the world’s most precious treasure and everyone applauds to your creation.

Dots, lines, circles, and zigzags are the basic paths to your doodles, sketches and later on a masterpiece. A model of sculpture on paper may it be amateur or not; it is your creation that matters.

Where are the carrots???

Your magical pens assisted by the creative and imaginative mind form  words that transforms to a magical story. This takes your audience to another realm which makes you and others smile.

A scenery of nature, a cartoonish print, a tale of life in motion, a ludicrous poem or a simple portrait.. you decide which is which and then you create. After all your hands are blessed and grace by creativity; all of which are gifts from the heavens above.

So I tell you this; let your fingers glide once in awhile and make these magically infused pens twirl and dance again on the crispiness of the paper.

                Enjoy creating!!!

NOTE: (All of this is base on my opinion and experience)

A former criminal…gangster…addict…delinquent…Yes! That is the common notion that people think whenever they see individuals sporting ink on their arms, legs, face and some body parts that we need not mention. Plus wearing gothic/emo/punk/ clothes with matching dubious accessories does not help either. Why is that so?

Should we blame the media for constructing this kind of idea in our heads? After all media reflects the society. Then again, does it really reflect the general public in its entirety?

In my experience people wearing unnatural hair color especially ones that do stand out (think green, blue, violet and etc.) and having tattoos (may it be small and simple or more elaborated) society usually have a negative impression towards them.

We really do not know the exact reason on why most people think that way. Maybe it is because of the movies they have seen, the news they read, stories heard or more. We don’t know but one thing’s for sure not all individuals with crazy hair and tattoos are bad as most of them think they are.

A good example of such scenario is this wonderful artist named Charice. Her image before was pure, innocent and the typical girl next door type but once she shed her looks into a more edgier one, some people started taking a step back with a horrific look into their eyes.

Imagine a sweet and lady image before and now she has a short, blond hair and…egad! A tattoo. (Simple one actually) Why oh why!??! Some fans of her (I doubt they are the TRUE ONES) began to stop liking her. They don’t want to support her anymore just because of the look. Some even (from the comments I read in some sites) said that she is now a bad influence for kids…again just because of the new look.

Do you think they are being judgmental? Do they have some kind of backward thinking on such appearances? Should we get angry at this kind of people? Or just let it go because they are just ignorant or because they are just being human…having their own set of opinion and preferences on what kind of look that  normal people (in this case a celebrity like Charice) supposed to have.

“Charice should have worn this..Should have a hair like that…she should do this and that…and more..” Those are just some of the comments I’ve read. Most of them though are really harsh and mean!!! (Whoa Nelly!)

I believe that some fans are just concern for Charice’s well being…in this case her image but there are just some individuals out there whose opinions are just monstrous! It’s like they have no values at all! No conduct! No manners!!! I mean you can state your opinion on certain matters (whether you agree or not, like or hate, pro or con) with eloquence, with breeding, with constructive criticism or with decency but some really do have foul mouths. Their evil tongue seems to flicker nonstop!!! Their breaths are tainted with absolute malevolence. They need to be punished!!! (Should I call Ghost Rider then? LOL!)

Do you remember the quote “Don’t judge a book by its cover?”. I’m sure you do and let’s not forget about this.  Behind the entire physical image there is this thing called personality. Gothic/Rock/Emo image does not necessarily equal to bad personality or behavior.

In the case of Charice well yeah some may not like her new image but at the end of the day it is the talent that matters. Don’t we already know her personality before she changed her look? I mean she is still the wonderful girl that we know so I don’t really get that some Chasters (are they even true?) stopped liking Charice just because of her as some would say “Tomboyish” look. Tsk! Tsk!

There are some things in life that we would like to PREFER but we should learn to accept the fact that not all people have the same way of thinking or rather in this case has the same image as most of us (or celebrities). Let us learn to appreciate the things that they do (crazy hair, tats, and the works). It may be hard at first but at the end of the day they are still human beings. They have feelings. They have good personalities, they have values; they are still a heavenly creation.

                ‘Nuff said!
